Austra Energy designs, builds and operates integrated clean-energy systems for Indian homes, businesses and the grid. We combine photovoltaic generation, battery storage, EV charging and intelligent software so that sunshine becomes firm, usable power, during the day, after dusk, and when the grid drops.

We do not sell hardware in isolation. We specify a plant, generation, conversion, storage, charging and operations, then stay with it after commissioning. That is how a rooftop becomes a bill reduction, and how a solar park becomes evening power instead of midday surplus.

History
A decade of putting plants in the ground
2016
Founded
Austra begins as a residential solar team in Bengaluru, installing rooftop systems for homes that could no longer wait on the feeder.
2019
First gigawatt
Crossed one gigawatt across homes and businesses, and began pairing arrays with storage as a default rather than an option.
2022
Energy platform
Launched the Austra energy-management platform and modular hybrid storage for homes and campuses.
2024
Utility scale
Commissioned our first 100 MW+ grid-forming solar-plus-storage plant.
2026
National portfolio
Operating and building plants from Rajasthan to Kerala, with storage now sitting beside generation in the order book.

Austra was built on the belief that clean energy should not be a premium product for the few. The same technology that serves a corporate campus can power a village health centre, light a school after dark and keep a cold store running through the night. When we specify a plant, we ask not only what the load is, but who depends on it.
